GUIDELINES FOR CONTRIBUTORS
Submit a complete submission package (two hardcopies of the manuscript, an electronic copy in Microsoft Word or RTF format, and a coversheet) to :

The manuscript should not exceed 12,000 words, including footnotes and references, in case of an article and 1,500 words in case of a review essay. All articles must include an abstract of 150 or fewer words. The author’s name should not appear anywhere in the manuscript. The electronic copy may be emailed to the editor of the journal (editor@horizons.or.kr). Please provide the author’s name, institutional affiliation, mailing address, email address, and the title of the manuscript on a coversheet.

Tables and figures, including graphs, should be printed on separate sheets and attached to the manuscript. For illustrations, send high-quality photos, line art, or TIFF files. Send a separate list of captions, including all necessary credits and permission lines. Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions to use any copyrighted material. Copies of permissions granted should be forwarded to HORIZONS. Photos will be returned after publication.
Editorial Policy
HORIZONS seeks to publish original and stimulating academic papers that have general relevance to specialists and educated non-specialists. Each issue of HORIZONS will be organized around a special topic. However, any serious paper on the humanities, arts, social sciences, and natural science will be welcome to us. Review essays on notable recent monographs will be also welcome.
Accepted manuscripts will be copyedited by the editorial staff and returned to the authors for a review before publication. Grammatical precision and stylistic competence are the authors’ responsibility.

Statement on Copyright
Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions to use any copyrighted material. Copies of permissions granted should be forwarded to HORIZONS. The copyright of the articles and reviews published in HORIZONS is held by the journal.
